Ideal for training that requires
Immersive learning excels where traditional methods fall short—high-risk, high-stakes, or hands-on skill development.
High-Risk Environments
Train for dangerous situations without real-world consequences. Practice emergency response, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
e.g., Construction safety training with fall scenarios and hazard recognition.
Expensive Equipment
Virtual equipment operation eliminates consumable costs and scheduling constraints while providing unlimited practice opportunities.
e.g., Mining machinery operation training without downtime or fuel costs.
Soft Skills & Scenarios
Immersive role-play for customer service, conflict resolution, and communication skills with branching conversations.
e.g., Healthcare workers practicing difficult patient conversations.
Procedural Skills
Step-by-step guided practice for technical procedures where muscle memory and sequence matter.
e.g., Hospitality barista training with consistent technique development.

Award-winning AR training for heat pump installers in the UK
Staffordshire Training Services
Gas & Renewable Energy
The Challenge
Founded in 2022, Staffordshire Training Services wanted to push the boundaries of vocational training delivery in the gas and renewable energy sectors. They needed to give learners safe but realistic environments to practise skills, support low-carbon and renewable heating training, and provide flexible, accessible learning options beyond in-person sessions.
Our Solution
Working with Metaverse Learning, the team developed a bespoke AR training package accessible via PC or tablet. Candidates can practise health and safety awareness, PPE use, safe working at heights, and work through air and ground source heat pump system design, installation, commissioning, and fault finding. The platform includes virtual customer interactions and built-in knowledge checks, with detailed performance tracking for tutors.
The Outcome
The AR programme delivered enhanced learner confidence through safe skills practice, better preparedness for on-site work in renewable technologies, and a strong USP in a competitive training market. The approach earned national recognition, winning the LCL Award for Innovation and being shortlisted for the Green Centre Award.

National recognition
"I was keen to push innovation and develop a way to supplement the theoretical and practical training we deliver in-house. I wanted learners to experience what it's like working in the real world from the safety of the centre. Our augmented reality training works very well for the delivery of core modules such as health and safety awareness, providing plenty of ways to stretch and challenge our candidates."
