Neva Denham
Senior Instructional Designer
VET Specialist & Competency-Based Design Expert
About
Neva is a Senior Instructional Designer and VET Specialist at Edutemps, working with RTOs to turn complex units of competency into learning that real students can understand, use and be assessed against with confidence.
Her approach is firmly student-centred and grounded in backwards design. She starts with the outcomes that matter most in the workplace and in assessment, then works backwards to shape learning activities, scenarios and evidence requirements that feel authentic rather than artificial.
Neva has deep experience in competency-based design, mapping learning and assessment to training packages, and building resources that stand up to both audit and day-to-day delivery. She collaborates closely with subject matter experts and trainers to co-design materials that are accessible, inclusive and realistic for different cohorts, including VET in Schools.
She is skilled in a range of eLearning tools, including Articulate Storyline and Rise, and regularly works with digital media and interactive formats to bring courses to life without losing sight of compliance.
